[ Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ]

This past week I finally had some time to meet up with my best friend Stephanie.
Not only did we spend the whole day shopping but we were also able to eat at my favorite Bakery.
Porto's is located in Glendale off Brand and they have the BEST desserts and sandwiches. If you ever get a chance to visit I HIGHLY recommend the Papa Peparada ( Potato Ball Sandwich ) with a Dulce de Leche blended drink and Creme brulee. They have a lot of other choices they're most famous for their cheese rolls. All in all this place is Great and if you're ever in the area stop by. Here's their link.

Potato Ball Sandwich; Best eaten with Tapatio or Ketchup
Near the Bakery there is a famous chess table area that I've seen on a couple shows the only one off the top of my head is CSI:Miami. And since we were in the area I thought it would be a perfect photo op

And while we were shopping we saw the cutest earmuffs at Forlove 21.

What do you think? You like?

Attempting to be a creeper lol

`` UNII Cosmetics ``

Hello!~

Sorry for not posting recently, I've been so busy taking care of some business. It's funny how you become busier without a full time job then when you do have one. I thought that time went by fast working 9 hours a day, but I was wrong. Time flies even faster when you don't have a Monday - Friday job where you're actually keeping track of the days. Just last week I thought that it was Tuesday to find out that it was already Friday! O.O

In my recent busy schedule I've been all over Glendale, LA, Burbank, Studio City, and more!~

Before I start to get ready for school I feel like I have to fit in all the "fun" stuff.

  • Meeting friends
  • Shopping
  • Reading my favorite magazines
  • Sleeping in
  • Traveling
  • Sleeping some more (haha)
  • Cleaning and rearranging my room
  • Baking
  • Etc...
This list dosent even cover half the stuff I want to do before I'm stuck behind books and studying for tests.
Good news is that I have until January before the mayhem begins. (Whew...)

Now onto the main reason for this post.
I finally was able to de-pod and arrange my eye shadows in my new Unii pallets.
This process just made me realize how boring I am with my eye shadows.
Over 60% of my shadows were neutrals. I definitely need to step out of my box and try new things.

As for the outcome here they are.

From the moment I opened the box to the finished product there wasnt a single thing I didnt like about this product. The pallet looks great without lacking any functionality. The best part is that you don't have to dig through your make up bag to find your shadows. And if you're the type of person to own a lot of eye shadows you can order the pallets in different colors to organize them individually to cater to your needs.
I think the selling point for me was that a lot of make up companies now sell just refills to conserve packaging and plastic. Not to mention refills cost a lot less. So you're actually benefiting both the Earth and yourself.

Here is the link to the Unii website. They're offering free shipping for a limited time so order fast!

~ A Day in the Rain ~

I love it when it pours rain in LA. I look forward to the sunny day right after a rain storm where you can see for miles through the clear sky. Without a single smog in site or a cloud. I can't wait to drive up to the clip by my house and take a picture for all of you to see. It's definitely worth the pouring rain and cold crisp air.

Yesterday was quite an eventful day for me. All I did was run errands and finally tidy up my room and house. Although it is still a working project until I buy a new dresser.... (Please don't hesitate to throw out some ideas for where I can find a nice Dark Cherry Brown dresser for my room.)

Now that I'm not at my full time job everyday I feel like I have so much time on my hands. I'm starting to go back to wearing jeans and sweaters everyday. I guess I'm kinda glad I started this blog when I did. It's my sole motivation to getting all dolled up on a day to day basis.

Oh another piece of good news is that my Unii Pallets arrived today in the mail! I ordered them in the snow and eggplant. I can already tell from the packaging I'm going to like it a lot. It was so neatly packaged even down to the industrial taping of the cardboard box. I was very impressed and you know what they say... First impressions are very important. I will be posting the unpacking and pictures in tomorrows post. So stay tuned O.o

Now as for what I wore in the cold raining weather yesterday was my favorite winter coat I received for my 21st Birthday. It was from J Crew and what makes it my favorite is that it's lined with thinsulate. Which is a fancy word for an extra lining meant to keep the warm in and cold out.

J Crew coat, Gray Jeggings from CR, Boots from Downtown LA, HM top, Forever 21 scarf

To recognize the weather change I opted out for some darker nails, but still with a pop of color

Bahama Mama & Mademoiselle
Aren't those names too cute for words. I love Essie 1. for having up to date/ cute colors 2. fun names

I love the little detail on my umbrella

:: Cognitive Ability ::

Hope everyone had a great weekend even with the gloomy weather!

I don't have too much time today to upload pictures so I'll get back uploading the rest tomorrow.

Today's post is on my new watch I bought from Modcloth.
I waited ALL week to get this and if finally came last Friday.
I already got soo many compliments on it and I definitely recommend you checking it out here.

The name of the Necklace is Cognitive Ability and retails on the site for $29.99
I've always wanted a pocket watch. Ever since I was a little girl and I saw a cute grandpa using one.
But I'm sure this one isn't as nice as the 14k gold watch he was carrying around. haha
I like my watch better because of the uniqueness of the face and back and the front cover. The design is just gorgeous in person. The picture doesn't do any justice.

I absolutely love everything about this watch except that the face is plastic instead of glass and knowing what a klutz I am I will probably need to get that fixed ASAP before I really do some damage to the watch... Thankfully I know a really good watchman at the Glendale Galleria.

Other than the face everything about this watch is perfect. There are so many little details I didn't notice until the next day when I took it to work. Like for example the back shows the mechanics of the watch and after you wind it up you can see all the little workings of the watch move, and to top it off the screws holding them in are either in blue or pink. A major plus.

Once I post the rest of the pictures I will tell you more about watch.

Here's a little preview:

Here are a couple more pictures :]

What I Was Wearing:
Jacket: J Crew Moto Knit in Navy also worn here
T Shirt: Love culture Pocket V Neck(the most comfortable shirt I've ever bought)
Nails: Essie in Lapis of Luxury
Watch: Modcloth "Cognitive Ability"

I'm totally loving the rain right now.
I totally forgot about the cutest umbrella I got about 2 years ago.
Stay tuned for tomorrows update ;]

" Father of All Buns "

I can not believe it's already Thursday! It has almost been a week since I posted.
This week has been pretty eventful I've been meeting with a lot of people I haven't seen in ages.

For this post I'm going to rave about a Bakery I found in Pasadena.
Well my boyfriend took me there in Sat before I had to head into work.

The name is Papa Rich and it's on the corner of Green and Delacey. Here is the Yelp link just in case.

I was so happy when he took me there because I thought this bakery was only available in Asia.
I had it almost everyday when I stayed in Korea for 2 months last year.

Description:
  • The Bun's core consists of melted butter from cooking in the oven.
  • The outer bread taste almost like pancakes but a little more sweeter (since it IS a pastry).
  • And Finally to top that delicious bread there is crunchy yet soft mocha flavored shell.

PapaRich also has an assortment of tea's sweetened and unsweetened. My favorite is the Iced Peach Tea.
There's also a nice sitting area in front with WiFi for those nice California days.

I rate this place a 5. Although I wouldn't recommended going there after eating a full meal. The break itself is very filling.

If you live in LA and haven't tried it, TRY IT OUT and let me know what you think :]

== Weekend FUN ==

Another Monday means another week of work...

On the plus side the weather has officially turned into fall/winter. That's the one thing about California there are no scenic seasonal changes that the east coast offers.

But before our weather officially changed my boyfriend and I had a very eventful weekend.

Sat:
1. Came out to a bouquet of flowers and my favorite Starbucks drink (hot or cold upside down caramel Machiato)
2. Drove down to Garden Grove to eat at the Boiling Crab {heart}
3. Went shopping at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.
4. Got some Sea Salt coffee at 85C in Irvine.

Sun
1. Watched "All That Skate" at the Staple Center.
2. BBQ!

All in all this was a fabulous weekend.
How was yours?

My view of "Magic"
